A 25 year veteran in the field of education, Rene began her career by attending the State University of New York at Buffalo where she majored in Nursery and Elementary Education and minored in English.  After receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Education, she taught first grade in Depew , New York .  She continued her studies with significant coursework at the University of Buffalo and Hofstra University in Education, at the graduate level.

After moving from the Buffalo area to Long Island , Rene gained valuable pre-school experience by teaching multifaceted programs at two highly successful synagogue affiliated nursery schools.  Shortly after moving to Marlboro in 1985, she taught at a local synagogue nursery school until she was asked to establish the Marlboro Jewish Center Pre-School in 1988.  The Pre-School, under the directorship of Rene Kipnes, continued to grow and expand and is generally recognized as one of the premier pre-school programs in the county and state.  Her philosophy ensures that the needs of young children are met in a warm and loving atmosphere where children can grown and learn in a developmentally appropriate and supportive environment.

Rene has actively participated in numerous workshops related to curriculum, emotional intelligence, staff growth and improvement, and developmentally appropriate education practices.  She is a long standing member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and the National Jewish Childhood Network (NJECN).

Rene  resides in Marlboro with her husband, Allen.  They enjoy sharing in the lives of their three daughters, Erika, Pamela and Deanna, and their grandchildren.
