Belonging to a synagogue is a great way to be connected to and strengthen the Jewish community in which you live.
In this past year, we helped introduce 400 little ones to the beauty of their heritage; we prepared over 300 Hebrew School students for their lives as Jewish adults; we bar/bat mitzvahed some 90 thirteen year olds; the list goes on - Hebrew High School, adult education, baby namings, weddings, and hundreds of Prime Timers enjoying incredible programs. Our members have every right to share in the naches of our extended family.
But the shul is also there for us on life's less fortunate occasions such as funerals, shiva calls, hospital visits, counseling. Providing financial support that not only allows those on hardship to continue to enjoy shul membership but puts food on the table and prevents congregants from losing homes. While we pray we're never needed for these things, we should take great pride in creating this oasis for those in spiritual or financial need.
Feed your n'shuma (soul), join a shul.
